Can staff travel in the same vehicle?
If staff need to share a vehicle, putting them on shift with the same colleagues is safer than constantly switching everyone about. Advise staff to have the windows open for ventilation as much as possible and to wash or clean their hands both before and after getting in the vehicle.
Vehicles should be cleaned regularly using standard cleaning products and wearing gloves. The cleaning should especially focus on handles and other areas where passengers may touch surfaces.
If your staff are sharing vehicles, take all the precautions you can such as regular cleaning. However, it’s only permitted if alternatives have been exhausted.
