BREXIT - 01.10.2020

HMRC - don’t forget about Brexit!

Brexit again. It’s been a turbulent twelve months for businesses and there’s more rough water ahead as the culmination of the Brexit transitional period looms. Businesses should prepare for a no-deal Brexit as a last-minute agreement looks less likely by the day. The consequences are far reaching in ways you might not be aware of. To help, GOV.UK now provides comprehensive personalised guidance on what you and your business should be doing to prepare for 1 January 2021 (see The next step ). The online service involves answering quite a few questions, some of which may not seem relevant to your business but stick with it; the business-related questions come later. We’ve given the service a few test runs and were impressed with the results.
