New global climate change agreement

Back in focus. In the winter of 2015 the United Nations member states, including the UK, will meet in Paris to adopt a global climate change agreement that replaces the Kyoto Protocol. This will commit all countries to make reductions in greenhouse gas emissions.

How might this affect you? This agreement certainly isn’t going to see a relaxation in emissions targets. Expect the government to continue to push businesses of all sizes to stay on top of emissions for the foreseeable future and beyond.

Plans are afoot to replace the Kyoto Protocol. This will commit countries to even tighter greenhouse gas emissions targets. As such, you can expect to be pushed to reduce these further by the government.
