New Code of Practice on CCTV

Technology changes. Increasing numbers of employers are using CCTV and other types of camera surveillance, e.g. body-mounted cameras, where employees undertake dangerous tasks. If you’re one of them - or are thinking about doing this - familiarise yourself with the Information Commissioner’s Office’s new Code of Practice (see The next step ). It reflects changes in technology and how you can utilise this without falling foul of the Data Protection Act 1998 .

If you use, or are thinking about using, CCTV or other forms of camera surveillance, familiarise yourself with the ICO’s new Code of Practice. It explains how you can utilise the latest technology in your workplace without falling foul of the Data Protection Act 1998.
