All your cloud accounts happy together
Otixo: (almost) completely free
Otixo ( http://www.otixo.com ) offers a free account which lets you manage a wide variety of cloud services. Note. There’s no limit on the number of services in the free version, but you can only copy five files in one go amongst your clouds. The paid-for versions ($0.99 or £0.67 per month and $9.99 or £6.70 per month) have fewer or no restrictions. Otixo supports 35 cloud services, including Dropbox, OneDrive, Amazon, Facebook, Google Drive, Evernote and Flickr. Plus, you can add FTP servers.
Tip. Although Facebook isn’t an online storage service, by using Otixo you can manage your Facebook photos, create albums, upload photos and make backups. Plus, it allows you to share Facebook photos with someone who doesn’t have a Facebook account.
Every cloud service you add appears as a folder in Otixo, from where you can view and move files and share them with others. The Spaces allow you to select files and share them with multiple participants; in addition, everyone automatically receives an e-mail when new files become available. Note. In the free version you can only create one such Space . Interestingly, Otixo also offers free apps for iOS, Android, Windows Phone and Windows, while you can, of course, view everything in your browser.
Jolicloud: built-in photo editor
An online cloud service that has been around for longer is Jolicloud ( http://www.jolicloud.com ). It supports fewer services than Otixo, but the browser interface is very comprehensive: it not only shows all the folders and files from your cloud services, you can also play music stored in the cloud, view PDF files and videos, read online e-books and even view and edit photos. Note. The free version doesn’t allow you to copy files among cloud services or add multiple accounts within the same cloud service. The Pro version costs €5 or £3.70 per month, or €50 or £37 per year. On the downside, Jolicloud doesn’t have any mobile apps (the app in the Chrome Web Store no longer works).
CloudFuze: includes app
CloudFuze ( http://www.cloudfuze.com ) can be tried out free for 30 days, then it costs $5 or £3.40 per month or $50 or £34 per year. CloudFuze offers a free app for iOS and Android, while there’s also a Windows application. The service supports Google Drive, Box, Dropbox and SugarSync, and you can add FTP servers. You can copy files between cloud services, preview files, rename them, etc. In addition, you can create a Shared Workspace where you can share specific files and folders with others, and you can search for files (but only via the filename).
MultCloud
Not satisfied yet? Check out MultCloud ( http://www.multcloud.com ). This service is completely free for less than 10TB of data traffic. The Premium version ($4.99 or £3.40 per month or $42 or £28.70 per year) doesn’t have any limitations. Among the cloud services supported are Dropbox, Box, Google Drive, Amazon, OneDrive, SugarSync, Flickr and FTP. There are no apps or a Windows program: everything is done via your browser.
