Free PPE scheme extended

Infection control priority. The government has extended the provision of free PPE for health, social care and public sector workers to support their coronavirus needs until the end of March 2022. The direct provision of PPE to NHS Trusts, residential care homes, GP surgeries, dentists, optometrists, pharmacies and hospices, was implemented to overcome supply chain problems and is being continued to minimise potential disruption to services over the winter of 2021. Many of those in health and social care are eligible for free PPE to combat the ongoing coronavirus threat. The government has extended the scheme to the end of March 2022.
