IKEA to sell solar panels

New deal. Following a successful trial at its store in Essex, home furnisher IKEA has unveiled plans to sell solar panels from its 18 stores across the UK. It says that its customers will be able to buy a system for £5,700 upwards. Note. It will take up to ten months to roll this out to all its stores.

Tip. There’s no guarantee that IKEA will offer the best price. As returns on solar investments can be tight, make sure you check what you could get from other local suppliers.

Over the next ten months, IKEA stores will start to offer solar solutions from £5,700. Do your sums before signing up, as returns can be tight.
