The HSE is fit for purpose

Up to the task. A review published by the Department for Work and Pensions has recently concluded that the HSE delivers functions that are still needed and that it is fit for the job. It also stated that central funding to the organisation will continue to fall. The fee-for-intervention (FFI) scheme looks set to stay, as this will be the only way that the HSE can continue to balance the books.

A review of the HSE has identified that it is fit for purpose and should continue to fulfil its current functions. It also revealed that central funding will be reduced still further. This means that using the FFI scheme will be the only way the organisation will be able to balance its books.
