Take a Leaf out of Nissan’s book

Going further. In early September 2015 car manufacturer Nissan announced that the 2016 version of its electric Leaf model will have a new battery. Apparently, the new 30-kWh battery will extend the vehicle’s range to 107 miles.

Note. This battery is only for higher end models. Base ones have the old battery, which is good for 84 miles.

Long way to go. Even though this battery is approximately 20% better than its predecessor, the range is still very limited. Therefore these vehicles only work as city runabouts.
