Dropbox Plus: more expensive, more extensive

Dropbox ( https://www.dropbox.com ) offers 2GB of free cloud storage, but there are paid for formulas ( https://www.dropbox.com/buy ) for more intensive or professional use.

Plus. Dropbox has just increased its monthly rate for the Plus plan to €11.99 or £10.75 (billed monthly) or €9.99 or £8.95 (billed annually). In exchange, the storage space included has been increased from 1 to 2TB.

Professional. The Professional plan has been extended from 2 to 3TB, but the rates haven’t gone up: the price has remained at €19.99 or £17.90 (billed monthly) or €16.58 or £14.85 (billed annually).

Rewind. The Rewind function is a very useful addition to these paid for plans: it allows you to undo any unintentional changes and retrieve deleted files or folders. In addition, Plus users can now turn back the clock 30 days, while Professional users can turn back 180 days.

Smart synchronisation. In the Professional plan you were already able to make use of “smart synchronisation”, allowing you to save space on your hard disk by having less used files placed automatically in the cloud. This function has now been integrated into the Plus version.

Search in text.Plus users will soon be able to search for keywords within their documents, even without an Internet connection, something that was already possible in the Professional plan.

In Dropbox Plus, make use of the extra online storage space (raised to 2TB), the Rewind function and the smart synchronisation feature, which helps you to save space on your hard drive.
